About CCSofMI

Christian conciliation is a Christian approach to conflict reconciliation.  The Word of God encourages us to “forgive one another” (Ephesians 4:32), “live in peace” (2 Corinthians 13:11), “bear one another’s burdens” (Galatians 6:2) and “be reconciled to God” (2 Corinthians 5:20) and one another.  Christian Conciliation Services of Michigan (CCSofMI) offers biblically based conflict reconciliation with an intention to be Gospel focused to help others become reconciled to each other and to remind clients that they are reconciled to God through Jesus.

WHAT IS CHRISTIAN CONCILIATION SERVICES OF MICHIGAN (CCSofMI)?

I am a trained conflict coach, mediator, and arbitrator.  I provide biblically based reconciliation service in Conflict Coaching, Mediation, Arbitration, Reconciling Marriages and Intervention in Church and Organizational Conflict.

I have been trained in each of these areas of conflict management, with the addition of training as a Dispute Reconciler for the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod.

I received a Master of Divinity degree in 1979 from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, MO and a Doctor of Ministry degree in 1994 from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, MO.  My reconciliation training is through Peacemaker Ministries and Ambassadors of Reconciliation.

A BIBLE STUDY SEMINAR: CONFLICT RESOLUTION VS. RECONCILIATION

Conflict?  Everybody has it, whether in the family, intimate relationships, marriage, at work, at school….everybody has conflict in their lives!  The big question is, what are we to do about it? In the Bible Study Seminar, Conflict vs. Reconciliation, participants will learn how God’s Word empowers us to face conflict with the confidence found in the Gospel – the Good News that “God was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself” (2 Corinthians 5:19) . . . and teaching us how to be reconciled to one another.

The fee for Conflict vs. Reconciliation is $350.00 for the first ten participants, with an additional $35.00 per attendee after the first ten.  Each participant will receive a copy of the workbook, Conflict Resolution vs. Reconciliation.  The hosting organization is responsible for repayment of necessary expenses such as travel, meals, hotel, and supplies.

Email CCSofMI at  kleimoladmk@gmail.com at any time or call 517-745-6241 between 3:00 pm and 9:00 pm Sunday through Friday, and Saturday from noon to 9:00 pm for hosting information.

CONFLICT COACHING

As a conflict coach, I work one on one with individuals who are stuck in a cycle of conflict that seems to have no resolution. In conflict coaching, I help the client learn to trust their ability to resolve conflict in a God-pleasing manner, using God-given gifts and talents.  Conflict coaching can be provided in person, by phone, through e-mail and messaging.  Most coaching sessions may take as few as an hour or two, depending on how long it takes to build personal resources and confidence.  Conflict coaching fees begin at $75.00 per hour with a minimum payment of $150.00.  An intake fee of $75.00 will be assessed before coaching begins.  A fee will also be assessed for necessary expenses such as travel, meals, hotel, and supplies.

CONFLICT MEDIATION

Using biblical peace-making resources, a mediator works alone or with other mediators to enable disputing clients to voluntarily pursue a God-pleasing and peaceful conciliation of interpersonal differences.  In mediation, the parties involved come to their own means of reconciliation.  The mediator(s) are present to keep the conciliation process on track.  Mediation can take one or more days to achieve reconciliation.  Mediation intervention fees begin at $150.00 per hour. An intake fee of $75.00 per party will be assessed before the mediation begins.  The counselee will also be responsible for reimbursement for necessary expenses such as travel, meals, hotel, and supplies.

RECONCILING MARRIAGE

Marriage is difficult work.  In marital reconciliation, one or more mediators work with Christian couples to discover sources of conflict which cause disruption of a marital union. The goal of reconciling marriages is to bring stability to a marriage and enable couples to live in a loving, peaceful and harmonious relationship.  Reconciling Marriages will require several sessions.

ARBITRATION

In arbitration, individuals of faith voluntarily seek the assistance of two or more mediators to help them resolve interpersonal differences they are unable to resolve with the assistance of a mediator.  An arbitration is similar to a court proceeding, why the mediators “hand down” a binding resolution to the conflict.  Depending on the complexity of the issue(s), arbitration can take a single day to several days to reconcile the conflict.  Because of the complexity of arbitration, Ambassadors of Reconciliation (aorhope.org) or a similar reconciliation ministry will be utilized for assistance.  In this case, the fees of the consulting reconciliation ministry will apply.  See aorhope.org for fee information.

INTERVENTION IN CHURCH AND ORGANIZATIONAL CONFLICT

Intervening in Church (Organizational) Conflict is an intensive effort to promote healthy relationships in a congregation or other organizations.  A team of mediators works in unison to discover patterns of conflict, recognize antagonistic behavior and lead participants to mutual confession and forgiveness.  A church or organizational intervention takes several days of work over several months of intervention. Because of the intensity and complexity of church and organizational conflict, the services of Ambassadors of Reconciliation (aorhope.org), or a similar organization will be utilized.  See the Ambassadors of Reconciliation website for details on AOR fees and other expenses.

WHEN SHOULD I SEEK RECONCILIATION?

A good time to seek conciliation is when you first ask yourself that question.  Your instincts are probably the best measure of the need for reconciliation with another person, whether or not the other is a Christian.  CCSofMI offers conciliation services to anyone who will accept the biblical basis of reconciliation.

WHY RECONCILE?
